Sneak Peak: Family Pictures July 2013
Here is a sneak peak of a few of our family pictures taken at the Selah Lavendar Farms. Kelti was a couple days shy of being 7 months old at the time.

4th of July
Well this summer has been flying by! With all the vacations we have taken so far and our baby growing up too fast I can't tell you how fast my head is spinning. By the time our four day 4th of July weekend came around I was ready to cancel everything for the entire summer and just stay home in our bed with our baby until fall.
SO GLAD WE DIDN'T!
This holiday weekend turned out to be our absolute favorite thus far! We were with baby Kelti threw the entire weekend, witnessing so many "firsts". All started with an awesome back yard BBQ for a darling little 7 year old on the evening of the 3rd. Took the pack n' play and a lunch box full of toys and Kelti had a hay day and mommy and daddy got to relax and enjoy the evening, the company and our little bumblebee all at the same time. (<3) She even fell asleep all by herself!

What a blast and this was just the beginning. The next day was the 4th OF JULY! After our morning of snuggling daddy got up and got to work in the garage and mommy and Kelti took a nap til 10am! We then got up and played dress up, went to the grocery store and did some long belated laundry.
Next was our drive to the mountains for an awesome prime rib dinner. Great friends, awesome food and unbelievable scenery. Not to mention watching the fire works from atop a mountain!
Home we went! Next morning (which did I mention is only Friday!) it sort of started out the same as the day before with the snuggles and naps but daddy joined in as well. Then it was a busy bee type of morning, with cleaning the boat, cleaning the house and packing for a two day trip to the lake! I must still be new at this obviously, but packing for a two day trip with a baby feels like packing for a two week trip! All of the "just in case" items add up fast!
We were on the road as a family, with the boat in tow by late afternoon and headed up to a local lake about 40 miles from home. We were truly blessed to be invited on a trip with our dear friends and their family.
Well, what a blessing indeed! We camped, boated, sang, ate amazing homemade meals, and had the love of true company and the divine pleasure of sharing the experience with our little one. We really came to realize that this is the weekends that we can't stand to see end..... Until next time. :)

6 Month Birthday!
So our little Bumblebee turned 6 months old last week! She has grown in ways that we never dreamed of.
We started the morning off with birthday hugs and kisses, though she wasn't into it until after her morning bottle. Then she turns as sweet as pie, playing in her room while I pick out her birthday outfit for the day.
Then of course, time for a photo shoot. She was a peach for a while but eventually got tired of the camera in her face.
Unfortunately she is still too young for birthday cake, so we celebrated with green beans for dinner and mangos for dessert!
Ending the exciting day with a nap in mommys arms. My favorite part. :)
Mommy and Daddy love you so so much. You are a very special little lady. XOXO

Kelti's Screams
Who would have thought (well definitely not me) how much personality my sweet girl would have by 5 1/2 months old. I don't really know what I was thinking to expect but our little bumblebee exceeds my expectations in the personality category.
Her playful smile.
Her excited stares.
Her cute sass.
Next will be her first demands I'm sure!
Wonder what her first word will be? What are the most common first words spoken?

Baby's First Camping Trip
Kelti's first camping trip way went better than ever expected. She was such a social butterfly, eating up the sun (the little that we had anyways) and loved being outside in the fresh mountain air. Packing for a baby is as everyone knows, a challange. Lots of prep, shopping and note making but in the end it came off without a hitch! Between the obvious diapers, wipes and formula which I packed way to much of, we packed a couple of items that were lifesavers.
Highchair ~ Also used as a seat for her to sit and play with her toys as she is not 100% able to sit up and STAY sitting up on her own yet. Kelti is now starting on rice cereal and some pureed veggies. She is growing up so fast!
Pack and Play ~ For ALL the obvious reasons!
Bjorn ~ Was perfect to carry her around with you and keep her involved while you could still enjoy a conversation, beverage or hotdog :) Don't forget the Stella shades!
Next trip, BOATING!
Any tips and tricks for a winter baby heading into the summer season?!

Holiday Recap!
My husband and I have decided to celebrate and document every holiday during Kelti's first year. Of course, each holiday consists of an outfit or PJ's which will end up in a cedar chest to keep as memories of our Kelti Ryann's first year.
Next of course... Christmas Day! She wore a newborn lace dress with black tights. Being only a little over a week old, this our first full day out of the house as a family.
Next... Super Bowl Sunday! At two months old she was such a trooper and enjoyed even the half time show! Maybe next year she will get to experience some of the yummy foods.
Valentines Day! She wore her Valentines Day socks during the day, then we came home and put on our new Valentines day pj's which matched her new dolly's PJ's. So cute! My parents started the tradition with my sister and I and every Valentines Day we woke up to a small gift. This year Kelti got her dolly. And tradition continues!
Happy St. Patty's Day! Kelti's wardrobe consisted of her St. Patty's day socks, Daddy's Lucky Charm onsie and green skirt with leggings. What a great Sunday!
Easter Morning! Kelti woke up in her of course... Easter pj's! I was determined to find the perfect Easter Basket that she could grow up with and use every year. I actually found it at Joann Fabrics! This year Kelti got a stuffed animal giraffe we named Jeanie (this is now her favorite toy and we don't leave the house without it!). Next we went to my parents house for Easter morning breakfast where again, Kelti was greeted with an Easter basket filled with goodies.
Family picture before we headed off to the second house of the three we were visiting that day! Kelti wore her Easter dress and sunflower headband, though it was soon replaced with a bonnet and sunscreen because we were blessed with a gorgeous Easter Sunday and 75 degree weather!
And this was the end of the long day. She ended up falling asleep on her own just like this! Super tired little girl! Can't wait for more holidays to come!
