Valentines Day 2014

Happy Valentines Day!

I so love Valentines Day Eve even more now with a little one. Getting the Valentines Cards ready, the white chocolate popcorn made and Kelti's little surprise Valentines Day gift set out sure does make the holidays extra fun. So with that, I am going to leave you with some pictures of Miss Kelti and her Valentines morning experience!

 

 

 

 

Now for some home made dinner, cozy jammies, perhaps a princess movie if daddy can stomach another and for mommy... a nice glass of wine. Oh and Happy Friday!

Damn Lucky Charms!

As you all may know, I am heading to the beautiful coast of Mexico in a few short months. Bikinis, sand, sun, poolside margarita... did I mention BIKINI!

So one would think I would be on my best behavior to try and fit back into those cute little things I use to wear called a swim suit. I have always been known for my self control and have never really dealt strongly with the internal battles some people have with themselves over a fun size TWIX bar. Well since baby Kelti I almost feel like you know what.. I DESERVE this fun size TWIX and the once had self control is no where to be seen. HELP!! So after I finish writing this post and humiliate myself publicly I am going to try hard to get back to my healthy lifestyle of wholesome foods and scheduled exercise. I went to the grocery store to pick up a few necessary items to make some mini omelet muffins for me and the hubby to take to work for breakfast. On the way through the tea isle, picking up some green tea packets because I love me some hot green tea in the afternoon, I stubble across the cereal. The Lucky Charms box jumps out at me and as we stare at each other for a solid two minutes I decide it is time for me to introduce Kelti to this yummy treat some call breakfast. I think to myself, "What a great mom I would be if I surprise my little with a super delicious way to celebrate Valentines day breakfast!". Done, I buy the box of cereal along with my few other groceries and head back to work. Before I make it into the parking lot, I have that box ripped open and I am spooning handfuls of sugary marshmallow goodness into my mouth as fast as I can before I have to leave the box in the car. Guess what I thought about all afternoon.... those DAMN LUCKY CHARMS!

OK, officially humiliated.... I'll start to practice my self control.... starting after this bowl of cereal. :)

First real Snow Day

Good Monday Morning All,

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Why is it that the weekend's are more tiring than the weekdays? Well we got our big snowfall that we all thought bi-passed the PNW. This was Kelti's first real snow day filled with smore's, chili, sledding and a couple cold face plants in the snow (mommy was right there to brush her off though and off she would go!). So I am going to leave you on this Monday afternoon with a few snap shots of the weekend fun.

Lets not forget the couple other milestones we hit this weekend!

The crib has now turned into a toddler bed!

And, we finally decided to take a bath in mommy's big bathtub!

Need, Want, Love List

Friday Afternoon All!

So feeling a little down in the dumps today, you know those days when everything just catches up to ya? So I thought, why not put together a Need, Want. Love List and selfishly focus on myself for a couple moments. (Even though I may want it, I do most times try to refrain myself.) :)

1) Hunter Boots - The snow finally hit the Pacific Northwest after a beautiful December/January. As I was getting ready for work this week, quickly trying to find something to wear, I realized that wearing my snow boots was the practical decision since I definitely don't want to ruin my nice leather boots in the wet muck! I also, at this point, came to the determination that I NEED these Hunter boots for days like this, still stylish but practical.

 

2) Dark Chocolate with Sea Salt - Holy Heaven in a candy bar! My sweet tooth always hits me right after I take the last bit of my sandwich at lunch time then I am in a total scramble to find a piece of chocolate! I was just introduced to this dark chocolate caramel with sea salt from Trader Joes. I am a total smitten over anything caramel and now a new fan of the dark chocolate and sea salt combo! Bad news... we don't have a Trader Joes locally. Boo!

 

3) Nomorerack! Heard of it?! Me either until yesterday. It is another one of those sites that sells items super duper cheap and well, I'm trying it out. I ordered a 6 piece sheet set, 1600 thread count and a medium weight down comforter, both by the way to fit a California King bed for...wait for it... $67! Yes! I will update you on the quality of the product when I receive it next week. Side note, I ordered this yesterday and with free shipping it will be here Tuesday! That is a 3 business day delivery!

4) Mexico -  HERE WE COME! Yes that is right folks, we are planning our second trip to Mexico this coming May! We went a few years ago before baby Kelti was around and it turned out to be the best, most relaxing vacation ever. Hoping for the same this time around, even though we will be leaving Kelti-Cat in her grandmas capable hands. Thank goodness for Face Time! Now, what shoes do I need to buy? :)

5) Champagne Cocktail - Yum YUM! Oh what a day it's been...
